Born and raised in Southwestern Ontario, I headed west in 1998 after earning an Honours Diploma in Recreation & Leisure Services from Fanshawe College — chasing sunshine, adventure, and a life a little less ordinary. That journey landed me in Whistler, where I spent eight unforgettable years as a Recreation Programmer with the Resort Municipality of Whistler, producing high-energy recreation programs and large-scale special events.
Whistler is also where I came out, found my community, and helped bring the legendary Whistler Pride Week pool party to life — a turning point that ignited my passion for bold, unapologetic Pride experiences. Since relocating primarily to Vancouver in 2007, I’ve held leadership roles across public, private, and non-profit organizations, all while jet-setting to iconic gay party destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Palm Springs, San Diego, and Las Vegas to soak up the very best in pool and boat party culture.
After my first visit to Puerto Vallarta in 2014, I was hooked — by the heat, the culture, the community, and the undeniable energy of the Zona Romántica. In 2024, I made it official, calling Puerto Vallarta home each winter. Now, after two seasons living here, I’m thrilled to launch Flamboyant Ventures: a rotating gay rooftop pool party experience built for men who love sun-soaked days, thumping beats, sexy vibes, and unforgettable connections.

Louise Johnston has always had a passion for creating spaces where people can feel free, have fun, and truly be themselves. Originally from beautiful British Columbia, she spent over 15 years in Arizona running three successful businesses. She later followed her adventurous spirit to Mexico, where she fell in love with the culture, the community, and especially the energy of gay pool and boat parties that brought people together in the best way possible. Now back in Canada, Louise is channeling that inspiration into co-founding a company that celebrates connection, freedom, and fun. It all begins in Vancouver, with plans to expand across North America. A creative at heart, Louise loves art, food, yoga, and working with resin. But what really lights her up is bringing people together and creating unforgettable experiences. Whether she’s painting, planning a party, or just making someone feel welcome, Louise brings warmth, joy, and a whole lot of heart to everything she does.
